My Visit to Chattanooga
Posted on | December 18, 2009 | 3 Comments
Wanna see a few pictures of my trip to Chattanooga? Well, as promised, I am sharing them with you today! The two of us had a blast during our trip. We visited the Hair of the Dog pub (where I tried a whiskey sour – it’s not too bad actually) and local restaurants that were recommended to us. Of course we also visited some great local stores, too.
The two of us walking along the riverfront on the Northshore side.
LEO is a fun gallery filled with handmade goods such as clothing, art, and jewelry. You can even find the work of Tobi of Ivey Handcrafted (whom I interviewed here) in this store. I bought the coolest necklace with a small metal cube hanging from it and some screen printed cards that I fell in love with instantly. I’m planning to frame the cards and hang them as art in the future.
The picture above was taken at Taco Mamacita which I highly recommend if you like Mexican food. I truly loved this restaurant – the food was tasty, the staff friendly and the service was great. Almost everything on the menu is made from scratch daily. That means from the guacamole to the margaritas what you’re about to put in your mouth was made in-house. Speaking of the margaritas… they are the BEST ever.
Food + Drink:
Taco Mamacita
Hair of the Dog Pub
Aretha Frankenstein’s
Cheeburger Cheeburger
Tony’s Pasta Shop & Trattoria
Fun Shops:
Revival
LEO
Blue Skies
We also visited the Hunter Museum and walked all over the city taking photographs. I really fell in love with the store Revival… and I think just about any Interior Designer would because it filled to the brim with gorgeous accessories, books, and furniture. The only downside? The prices. There was a lot that I wanted to buy and a lot that I couldn’t afford.
There’s plenty of other photos to share with all of you, but I’m afraid that the rest is on my boyfriend’s camera. By Tuesday my camera’s battery died and, waddya know, I forgot to pack its charger too! Maybe those photos will pop up here and there in future posts.
Chattanooga, TN is a great town to visit for a day trip, so if you live nearby, I highly recommend that you check this little gem of a town out. You won’t be disappointed!

Hi Katie! The pictures on this post don’t actually show my new hairdo. I got my haircut the day after we returned from Chattanooga.
I should share a picture with all of you – it’s much shorter than the picture I currently have in my sidebar!
