Monday Musing – A Fresh Start

Hello friends + happy Monday!  I think most of us dread Monday mornings, don’t we? (I can’t help but think of the line “Looks like somebody’s got a case of the Mondays” from Office Space.)  I used to not like Mondays very much at all.  Sunday would arrive and I would instantly become a little grumpy when I realized my weekend was over.  However, over the past 9 months, I’ve come to appreciate Mondays and have begun to look at them in an entirely new light – as being a fresh start to a new week full of possibilities.

I’m really excited about the arrival of 2010.  I’ve always thought of Autumn as being a time of transition and beginning, but right now… I am keenly aware that 2010 will be my much-awaited fresh start.  It’ll be a new year and I’ll have a fresh, clean slate in which to begin, well, everything.

In the next 2 to 3 weeks, many changes will occur.  First, with my return to the city of Atlanta – yay! I’ll have a new home!.  Then, with the beginning of my graduate studies at SCAD-Atlanta.  These changes will inherently have an affect on my blog work and how much I am able to post per week.  Rest assured, though, that I have no intentions of quitting Discover: ID.

In fact, to ensure the continuation of Discover: ID, I’m working diligently, NOW, at becoming better organized.  I really hope to avoid situations where I can’t post because I’m “too busy with schoolwork.”  It’s going to be a transition, certainly, but I’m sure that with extra planning and discipline that I can work it out.

P.S. – One reason why I look forward to Mondays is because I love meeting up with all of you, my friends.  We’re gathering here on Discover: ID, Twitter, or various blogs to discuss design, fashion, our lives, and I love it.  I really appreciate the people I’ve met through this little site of mine and all of the comments and conversations that started here. Thank you. :-)
