Design Resolutions 2010 – Heather of CreateH

Today’s Design Resolutions belong to Heather of CreateH! In case you aren’t familiar with her, Heather is a student studying Interior Design at an art school and she writes in her blog about the things she learns and loves. Plus, she’s a big sweetheart.

My blog resolutions for CreateH involve around the main word ‘Expand’. This will be my third major year with the blog, and I really want to focus on making it grow as much as possible, expanding in a variety of ways.
First, I really want to expand the readership and grow with the number of hits, but also with the variety of what my columns are written about. In the past two years CreateH has mostly been written about Interior Design and furniture design, with some articles about art shows and local news in Rochester, NY. However, I’m trying to reach a larger reader base and expanding my blog posts and blog rolls to include Wedding and Event Planning, with more resources, as well as Floral designs, Print and Pattern and Nursery Design to reach out to more of the Mommy Blogger readers that continue to inspire me.
As always, maintenance of the blog and making a resolution that I will continue to write 2-3 times a week, will be key, and more if possible. I want to include a new page on the blog about home tours by room, first being Home Offices.
My biggest goal is to just continue to promote CreateH and make it what I have envisioned for the blog and for myself as a designer, to jump start my career in the upstate New York region, and also network as much as possible so I can continue to learn and grow
