Christmas Decorating in Silver + White

In her all-white home in British Columbia, Cheryl Krecsy welcomes the holidays with shimmering collections and creations. For her, holiday decorating is all about keeping it light and bright.
Weren’t these pictures nice? I love the feather, silver, and crystal accents that you can find it just about any of these photos. A key to Cheryl’s style is the use of mirrored surfaces and crystal chandeliers to add extra sparkle to the rooms — a theme emphasized at Christmas with crystal drops, glass balls, and clear lights on the tree. "One year my kids revolted and demanded green!" she recalls. It didn’t return. "I prefer Christmas without clutter, and white is just so clean and restful."
I think Cheryl has certainly reached her goal – her decorating looks clean and effortless. Everything flows and works well together. Often times our holiday decorations look out of place because they don’t mesh with our existing belongings that we keep out year-round. Some day, I hope to blend my holiday decorations effortlessly.
