I’ve recently decorated my living room using a tartan sofa, while the walls are white, and feature only one florally papered wall behind the sofa.I have one plain easy chair that is the background colour of the tartan sofa, with tartan throws. The wooden floors do not have a rug on them as this could amount to an overkill of pattern.

Love this! That first photo to so pretty. I might pick up a plaid scarf, but i’d love a really tailored, belted, hip length plaid coat, (if it exists, lol).
