Rooms Inspired by Legendary Designers

Boundary, a joint venture between Terence and Vicki Conran opened in January 2009 in Shoreditch, East London. Located in a converted Victorian warehouse, Boundary includes 3 restaurants and bars, 5 suites, a bakery and a food store. And on the first and second floors? Twelve guest bedrooms – each inspired by different legendary designers or design movements. They are, to name a few, Le Corbusier and Charlotte Perriand, Mies van der Rohe, Eileen Gray, Josef Hoffman, Charles and Ray Eames, Shaker, Scandinavian, Bauhaus, and various young British designers.
I love the tiled floor and claw foot tub.
The design was led by Terence Conran together with Conran & Partners, Terence’s architecture and interior design practice. Studio Conran have also produced the graphic design and identity.
Love the overall neutral background and furniture with vibrant pops of color brought in by key furniture pieces.
Which room strikes your fancy? I’m finding myself drawn to the interiors inspired by Eileen Gray; they’re oozing with sophistication. (Yes, sophistication can ooze.) But all of the rooms are equally nice. Perhaps I would be better served trying each one out for a night?

Although red is not my color really, I would like to curl, sprawl out, or wind up on that sofa.
And it looks as though they have coffee set up for me in the dining room area.
