Livin’ The Sweet Life in an Amsterdam Sugar Warehouse

Uxus Design has this to say about the loft: “In keeping the original open-plan layout we created a series of dramatic curtain walls that could be opened and closed according to the needs of use. Made of luxurious Italian linen, the curtain walls are opaque when lit from the front yet transparent from behind. At night, the space becomes a series of glowing tents, creating the effect of a surreal interior landscape.”

I love this. I usually lean towards brighter spaces, but this… this is just gorgeous. I love the curtain walls, the original wooden interior (from 1763 no less!) all of the natural elements that can be found throughout, and those pendant lights? SWOON!

Very good mix and I bet this place is SO cool at night. Hey, see that lift thing in the image with the statue? I just saw one of those today on this website called ‘mantiques’. Do check it out- mostly industrial/ masculine antiques. Thought it was a very witty title and so funny that I saw the lift here, too.
